    Event Description:
    The 2011-2012 Fairfax Youth Survey indicated that over 40% of 10th and 12th graders across Fairfax County admitted saying something bad about someone else's race or culture. Similarly, over 40% of students reported having something bad said to them about their race or culture.  
     
    Please join Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology's (TJHSST) PTSA on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 7:00 pm  as they host Mauricio Velasquez for a talk to raise awareness about the power of language as it relates to diversity.  Mr. Velasquez has 25 years of experience as an Executive Coach and Diversity Trainer for businesses and executives.  This presentation will be held at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology located at 6560 Braddock Road in Alexandria, VA.  
     
    Mr. Velasquez is a funny, informative, and thoroughly engaging speaker.  He has also conducted training in Loudoun County schools and spoken at the Virginia PTA and National PTA conferences. For more information about him, go to http://www.diversitydtg.com/.
