Our business interests range from local restaurants to hardware stores, florist shops, landscaping companies, local art and theatre groups, community banks to the renowned Tysons Shopping Mall and Technology Gateway. The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce knows the people you want to know and we will connect you with the community in more ways than one.
Through membership, you will have the exclusive opportunity to network and exchange ideas with top Northern Virginia business, educational and governmental leaders. We provide an online member directory, printed directory and a monthly newspaper Business Newslink which is distributed in the McLean Times Community Newspapers to over 19,000 households and community organizations as well as 500 area businesses. The Chamber also offers ongoing event and annual sponsorship options that are convenient, profitable ways to maximize your business’ visibility.
On a daily basis, the Chamber staff works diligently to support your interests by referring our area residents and other member to the services offered by your organization. We refer residents and visitors exclusively to member businesses. We also reach out and facilitate introductions between members where we see potential business opportunities.
To increase your networking and help you build your brand, we host a networking breakfast, lunch and a casual business mixer. We also coordinate a bi-monthly Lead Share Business Building Meetings, which are open to all current members committed to broadening their referral network while helping other members expands theirs. Members interested in shaping the future of our Chamber may also volunteer on any of our eleven Committees including Young Professionals, Events, Community Relations, Marketing and Finance.
On an annual basis, we also sponsor four prominent local business events, our Board Installation Winter Gala, Community & Business Awards, McLean Benefit Classic, and Fall Membership Drive. Our Installation Gala serves to publicly establish our new Board of Directors and Officers during a fantastic evening featuring live entertainment, silent auction, arts show, dinner, cocktails and more. The Community & Business Awards allows us to honor those entrepreneurs, volunteers, non-profits, emergency providers, students and business people, who through their excellence and dedication have made the Greater McLean area a better place to live, work and play.
As part of its mission, the Chamber has the privilege to promote civic and non-profit schools, environmental, charitable and arts based groups in our area. Our McLean Benefit Classic allows our members and guests to come join us for a relaxing day at the golf course and tennis courts to help raise funds for a local non-profit. This tournament is a great way to mix and mingle with McLean’s finest for a worthwhile cause. Our Fall Membership Drive is the ideal event to introduce a fellow professional to the advantages of our group while strengthening the effectiveness of our entire organization.
