    The United Way of the National Capital Area and the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region are hosting “Leveraging the Power of Nonprofit Expertise in Support of Community Preparedness and Response” Forum on April 22, 2015 at George Mason University, Founders Hall, Arlington, VA.  
     
    The goal of the program is to learn together about the environment and networks around each of us and our roles and organizational expertise in regards to community preparedness and response.

    Forum attendees will learn:
    • Where organizational expertise begins and ends during a community emergency.
    • How to determine the role of community networks and stakeholders in your local community.
    • About personal, organizational and community preparedness and response.
    • How to understand your local community environment and the use of your community service expertise.
