It's that time of year. Registration for the metropolitan Washington region's annual
Bike to Work Day 2015 has opened and the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce will once again McLean help sponsor a local pit stop for area cyclists. Co-organized locally with The JBG Companies, Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling (FABB) and Bike McLean, the annual event will be held at Greenberry's Coffee Shop in McLean on May 15th from 6:30 - 9:00 am.
Registration for the event is free and easy to complete online at
http://www.biketoworkmetrodc.org/archives/3750. The first 14,000 registrants will receive a free event T-shirt. Refreshments and giveaways will also be available at the McLean Pit Stop while supplies last.
Bike to Work Day launched in 2001 with just a few hundred registrants and has grown to nearly 17,000. Last year, over 40 riders registered for the McLean Pit Stop. With the opening of the new Silver Line in McLean, organizers are hoping for 75 riders this year.
